any way to set default layer settings?

is there any way to set default vector layer settings that each new layer will inherit? i never want to use scale compensation for example. thanks!

thanks! not sure how i missed that.
wish we could set other defaults such as noisy outlines/fills but i'm satisfied with not having to reset scale comp for every layer

For other defaults, you might want to create a template layer, or even project file, that you can duplicate, instead of creating new layers, or projects, from scratch.
