Puppeteering Inprovements

Post by CoinOP Animator »

Currently Moho allows for recording my of user inputted layer, shape or bones, but only one channel at a time.

Basically Moho can be used to puppeteer.

How about allowing us to record multiple inputs at a time, using midi or a joystick input (is there code that allows this already?).

Kinda like how the Henson has been using Unreal of late to Puppet their digital characters.

Realusion is the only other 2d program that can do something similar and although their work flow is more tied to MoCap data.

Currently I used the record feature to get a head start on my dance animations and it's amazing fun.

What do you think?

You can do multiple passes.
You can also assign shortcuts to actions that you can trigger while playing the timeline. So if you set up a midi to trigger those keys, you might already have what you're looking for. You just have to predefine those actions.

The other option is to use video tracking to track mocap from a video, but this is not live interaction.
