Target Bone Issue

There are two ways to set a target bone.

The easiest way is to...

1. Make sure you're on Frame 0
2. Select the Parent Bone tool
3. Alt Click on the leg bone to select it
4. Ctrl Click on the target bone to set the target

Because Target bones only work on an animation frame and not the setup frame (frame 0), you will need to step into frame 1 or later to test/animate this.

Note: Using Ctrl Click you can change the target bone on any animation frame. This is useful, for instance, when you want to switch a hand bone from targeting a bone on the hip. to untargeted, and then targeting a bone on a table top.

To untarget a bone with Parent Bone, select the leg bone and then Ctrl Click in an empty area.

The second way is to select the leg bone, then go into the Constraints panel, and choose the Target Bone from the drop down list. This method does the same as the above but it's a little clumsy compared to Ctrl Click with the Parent Bone tool method.
