I recently saw a video on youtube about creating a spinning globe effect in moho. In the video the instructor showed how you could change the color
of the world map by getting a png file of it from the internet and creating a clipping mask to change the color of the countries on the world map.
So you have the image layer (world map) and the color vector you choose on another. Then you create a group layer to put the 2 into. Once that's
done you double click on the group layer, select masking, and then hide all, and click apply. What this is supposed to do is change the color of
the countries on the map to the color you chose and hide the areas around it. However this did not work for me. I'm wondering if there is a setting
on the masking I don't have on? If someone could explain to me the difference between a clippling mask and a regular mask that might be
helpful. Thanks,

Sounds like he used blend modes with the masking. It would help if you posted a link to the video.

Re: Creating a Clipping mask in Moho
The colour change is not about the masking, it's about a blend mode. Try this:
- Import a black-and-white image.
- Create a vector layer above.
- Draw a rectangle in whatever colour, covering the image.
- Set this layer's blend mode to multiply. Now you've coloured the bw image.
Next step: masking.
- Put these two layers in a group or bone layer.
- Set that layer to masking: hide all.
- Set the image to add to mask.
- set the vector layer to mask this layer.

- Set the image to add to mask.
- set the vector layer to mask this layer.

Hi slowtiger,
I tried the steps you said and I still did not get the changing color effect. I may be
doing something wrong. I'll try again. Also I'll send the link to the youtube tutorial
I am trying to work from. Thanks for responding svnthsin75.

First, you have to render a frame to see blend modes effects.
But that video is not using blend modes. It's using an image with transparency. In that case, just doing a hide all mask with the image adding to the mask will work.

Hi synthsin75,
Thanks for checking out the video. It was stated that the transparent file should be a png file. Maybe I'm
not choosing the right type of file. I will keep trying until I get it. Thanks for your reply.
