Do you edit audio directly on the timeline in Moho? Delete unnecessary parts

Post by mohgirl »

I would like to request to do a function, that is, a section of audio can be directly edited in Moho. I usually get the animation audio file for about five minutes, which has a lot of character dialogue. I have to use post software to separate one by one to import Moho. I'd like to ask if I can directly delete and cut the unwanted dialogue audio in Moho. Five minutes of audio in the Moho drag left and right on the location is very distressed, so it is convenient to directly delete the part not.

I agree, Moho should be able to perform some basic audio editing as you describe. But until we get that, it's better to do this in an audio or video editing program.

TBH, even if we ever get audio editing in Moho (which I hope we do,) I would still prefer to edit my audio when I edit my animatic in a video editor. I don't know if this helps but here's my workflow: after I cut my animatic, I use a script to add markers for every shot, and then I use a batch script to output a separate clip with audio for every shot. Depending on the codec I use, this whole process takes only a few minutes. Then I import each clip as a timing reference for my Moho animations, and it comes in perfectly timed, no offset or trimming is necessary. And when I'm done animating, the final Moho footage lines up with the animatic perfectly.

At home, I use Vegas Pro for my animatic and final editing, using scripts I purchased from Vegasaur.com. I don't have recent experience with other video editors, but some of them should be able to do the same thing. At my workplace, for example, I think the editors use Premiere and they are able to output separate shot clips from the timeline too.
