If you want to see a Disney film that has both wonderful animation and a really funny script, check out "The Emperor's New Groove." Mark Dindal, the director, does his best to channel Chuck Jones for 70 minutes, and I find that the movie works wonderfully well. It seems very un-Disney in many ways.
Mark's previous work was the under-appreciated "Cats Don't Dance" for Warners. So perhaps he really WAS channeling Chuck...
