Image being affected by bones that are not assigned to it

Post by DesertHawk »

Hiya! I'm making a scene and I'm using quite a few objects for it. I've got my character rigged up just fine, and all the bones work. I've made a ton of objects, no problem, but I'm trying to make one that's one of those old bombs, like the kind you see in spy vs. spy?

I'm using four bones. One for the bomb, three for the wick. I'm using flexible binding. Now, my problem is that every time I go to manipulate or offset the bone, the image is warped away from the bone! It's like it's being affected by the pull of another bone that is _nowhere_ near it. My bone strength fields are not overlapping too heavily, nor are any bone strength fields overlapping that shouldnt be.

Also, when I try to manipulate the bones, the image affect is very minimal. It's more like it's smudging it slightly than really moving it, like it should be.

Can anyone help?

(P.S., is this just being caused by the fact I'm using flexi bind?)

Put the bomb in a bone layer of it's own, that way only bones in that layer will affect your bomb image.

Thank you. The flash I'm working with right now i commissined, so someone else actually made it. I'm kind of getting used to the way he did things. I've taken some advice from this forum and made the upper and lower arms and legs, and the hands, seperate shapes.. this is pretty fun, tho.

Lots of work!

Thank you for the advice.
