All these still sketches were done in Moho!
I like drawing not just animating with this software!
Cheers!

Those are great sketches, Gaucho! Thanks for sharing.
Kinda OT but maybe not: I often have issues using Moho's Freehand tools for animated elements. Even though the tool has gotten better in the last few versions, I still don't feel I can draw Freehand vectors that are suitable for rigging and deforming with bones. (Not without a lot of manual point editing anyway, which kinda defeats the purpose of tool.)
Recently, however, I've been using Freehand to draw some elements for characters and then pre-rendering the layer as a high-res bit map. Then, I'll import the rendered art as an image layer and rig it using custom meshes and Smart Warp to get more predictable deformations from the art. I'll retain the vector version as a 'hidden layer', in case I need to make changes, or to create variations of the artwork to render and import (like for a switch layer.)
Anyway, I really like seeing what you're doing with it.

Re: Drawing Sketches with Moho
Hmm. That makes me wonder if Moho should have a 'Rasterize Layer' command, maybe rasterize vectors to a new layer and save the file like the new image paste feature does. I guess I should make this a feature request.

Re: Drawing Sketches with Moho
Just wondering if the man and woman in white with the mountainous background are posing from a movement in the kata "Bassai"?

Yes Little Yamori! They are executing "yama-zuki" (yama: Jp. mountain), and it is also done three times in Bassai-Dai kata as you have referenced.Little Yamori wrote:Just wondering if the man and woman in white with the mountainous background are posing from a movement in the kata "Bassai"?

I just visited your site and saw your DreamWorks Animation Demo Reel (2017) https://vimeo.com/204956251
Very nicely done!!!
Re: Drawing Sketches with Moho
Thanks! We use many different programs to create 2D/3D animation but there's a lot of Moho on that reel.

Re: Drawing Sketches with Moho
I wonder if the software is so well-suited to that great art or if an artist is just able to work with whatever tools are available. In any case, beautiful work.
