Bizarre issue - all of my mouse clicks are offset

Post by wilx »

Tricky to describe, but on frame zero (and only frame zero) everywhere I click registers as a click below and to the left of where it should be. So the mouse pointer shows up in the correct place, but if I want to select a point, or a shape, or anything, I have to click somewhere up and to the right of where the actual point is. This means every single mouse click on frame zero is a guess and it's driving me insane! I'm trying to do lots of fiddly complex shape stuff and it's taking me a whole day to do what should be 5 minutes' work.

Is there some sort of bug or setting I have accidentally stumbled upon? On all other frames it works as expected - I click on a particular shape or point and can select it perfectly.

If you haven't shifted layers on the sequencer or rotated layers in 3d space, I'd have to see the file.

You're welcome to check it out - http://www.wilx.co.uk/audio/OffsetIssue.anime.zip, this is the beginning of the project with the offset clicking/selecting issue present on frame zero. I'm not very well acquainted with anime studio, so there's a good chance it's something simple/stupid!

Shifting layers on the sequencer may be a good shout actually - I needed a few more seconds at the start so I put all the layers into a folder and shifted that along on the timeline. That may be when my issue first appeared.

Yeah, you have the MAIN GROUP shifted on the sequencer. If you switch to the sequencer, the green arrow in the frame number line should be aligned with frame one.

Fantastic! Thanks so much for helping out. What would be the best way to move that green bar to align with frame 1, but maintaining the current timing? If I shift the main layer back, it effectively starts the animation about 3 seconds earlier than it should.

In AS11, you'll probably have to do Animation>Rescale keyframes. Looks like you'll want to do the entire document, with new start time 46 and end time 289. Then you'll need to move your camera keyframes to about frame 65...although the shorter number of frames may make it faster than intended.
