Make vector drawings smooth

Post by Jet »

Hello,

I exported the rig I made into a different project then I resized it, I noticed that the quality of the layers have changed, they're 'pixely' and the lines are not smooth. How do I fix this?

EDIT: When I play the timeline it becomes less smooth.

Thanks~

Are you talking about two different things?

'pixely' could have to do with resolution but since you're using vectors, this shouldn't be an issue. It would help if you could post an example because otherwise you're leaving a lot to the imagination.

Or do you mean the image got 'pixely' after you rendered and then you scaled up the animation? That's perfectly normal for any bitmap image or sequence. I you wish to avoid pixelation when scaling up a bitmap, you need to render the image or sequence at a higher resolution--just how high depends on how close you intend to zoom in or scale up the image.

As for being less smooth when scrubbing the animation in the timeline, that's probably just openGL displaying lower res vectors to improve preview performance. If that's the case, the line quality will be smoother when you render.

Thanks! It becomes grainy when I scrub it but when I exported it it looks fine.
