I'm using a newer version of anime studio and when I opened my test project from last year all content was missing. I was able to recover the content from the psd by manually adding it again. But everything I drew with AS is gone, does anyone know how this happened and if it's possible to recover the content?
If I can't find out why this happened and have to fear that my content will vanish someday I'm not gonna use AS for my longtime project.

Re: Lost content after opening .anime file
what version did you use to create the file? and then to open it?
was the original file a .anme (i.e. from AS10 or earlier)? or a .anime (e.g. from AS11.0)?
did you save the project back to its original name after opening it in a "newer version of anime studio"?
do you have a backup copy of the original file?

Re: Lost content after opening .anime file
Im not sure which version it was it was AS 11 that was around about october/september 2015. It's .anime file I have multiple files I always save in increments with version numbers. No I saved it as a new file.
I kind of found out something strage I went back a few more versions and there the content is present. Maybe it has todo with that library bug I had last year. Had to import the psd though. Everything shows normally there.
Since the library bug is no more in the new version I'm guessing this wont happen anymore.

I sadly had to find out that even though my content is there I can't export the vector art to the library nor can I copy and paste it. Copy and paste just is grayed out and exporting into the library makes the content blank.

Can you open a new project and import from the old one?

No same happens the vector art I've created vanishes and only the bitmap content from the psd is visible.

Re: Lost content after opening .anime file
if you still have the file that was working - if you'd like to upload it here or PM I'll gladly take a look..
Re: Lost content after opening .anime file
Sorry can't do that since it contains private content I'm not willing to give to anyone.
I'll just make a new one that I'm willing to share with others. Hopefully the new version wont reproduce that bug. But this might take a while I'm a bit slow.

Re: Lost content after opening .anime file
Good news I've been experimenting some more and the problem seems to be just with the old version from last year. So I'll just have redraw everything.
