group layers randomly cut you off from doing...anything

Post by sargumphigaus »

I'm on a tight schedule and I really don't have time to be fighting the petty nuances of this program. I put a standard layer into a group layer and suddenly, I just don't have the ability to create shapes anymore. when i take it out of the group layer, it works fine, but when I put it back INTO the group layer, the ability to draw goes away. I've never had this problem before....If there's some kind of fix for this, please let me know. I put way too much effort into this, and I'd hate to have to start from scratch because the program is broken.

never mind, i figured it out. The layers randomly zoom in and out on me. I think it's because of camera positioning. There's a first for everything I suppose....

You may want to disable Auto Center New Layers in the preferences.

Oh, yes, if you have Auto Center New Layers switched on, definitely turn it off.

I can think of only one or two times when I really wanted this feature enabled but most of the time it can be a nuisance. This feature used to be 'on' by default but I think it was finally changed to 'off' by default a version or two ago.
