Importing layer comps into Final Cut Pro 7

Post by cableon »

Hi everyone,
Any clue as to implement ASP11 layer comps in such an editing app as FinalCutPro 7 (not FCPX, not After Effects) please ?
For some reason, FCP7 does not appear to take layer comps' alpha channels into account any more, and displays them as regular, opaque sequences with light grey background.
I know we are not on a FCP board, but perhaps could someone explain how to export layer comps properly so that they still fit in FCP7 ? Could it be a matter of export format for instance ?
Thanks in advance!

PS - I do of course ensure to check the 'Render layer comp' tab in Anime Studio Export, and do select the desired up-to-date layer comp.
And the 'Do not premultiply alpha' button does remain unchecked.

Hummmm... Quicktime H264-AAC. Does it depend on the export codec ?

Yes, the crucial point is not layer comp or not, but a codec which supports 32bit images - 24bit image and 8bit alpha. ProRes 4444 does - each of the 4s stands for 1 channel - and PNG does.
