Maybe you remember a post of 4 stills of some flemish guy. Here are the stills again. And this time you can go and watch my movie on my new site. And I just wanted to say hello to Thies Baert who's movie s plaing on the frontpage. And I would like to wish him succes with his upcomming baby. hope you guys like my movie. It's drawn on paper and then I scanned everything and i used bones on the carracters. Please comment!
Dat was GENIAAL! Ik zal de rest toch nog even in het Engels schrijven, omdat niemand anders toch iets verstaat.
Well, that was BRILLIANT. I loved the way your characters looked. Both the big guy as the small chap. Couldn't have done it better! The fact that you drew 'em on paper added a great feel to it. It makes the characters look even more awesome.
Story's very sweet too. I just loved the small guy's anxiousity to start and demolish the building, while the tall one's acting all stupid. Then them getting ready to demolish the house; and then the look on the little guys face. Love it! The lion king reference at the start was great too.
Nice Animation Tom. Like the waxy crayon type drawings! And the 3D effect on the chainsaw, that was excellent it jumped out of the screen!! The fat little short guy's hat was just the best, made me laugh.
The story was short and sweet.
Where are you studing animation?
A lot of flemish guy's on this board, love it. Acctually i don't do a lot of cut out animation. I'm more into 3D animation. You can check it out on http://www.cgtom.be. But I do love Cut-out very mutch, it's quick and you can make it very very beautiful graficly.
Great stuff.
This is where I think Moho excels - making animation with imported drawing files.
Kind of a low-priced subsititute for Adobe AfterEffects.
I always thought about the Moho's capabilities of cut-out animation. This is such a good example. I'm more inclined to use Moho for cut-out. It offers much more than other software as Creatoon.
Very nice work, Tom. You see the still crayons (or whatever you used to draw) in the movie, what is something you don't see much, so it's very original in style.
It's a very good example of cut-out animation. You've inspired me. I'll buy a glossy magazine tomorrow and start cutting out those pretty ladies and beautiful surroundings. Bring them in the computer and start Mohonating them.

Also see Wikipedia's explanation.
E.g. the famous cutout animation series South Park is made completely in Maya using vector art (although I think the first episodes were based on scanned artwork). So nowadays it has become a style of limited animation rather than physically cutting out cartoon characters from paper and textile.
