Ran into a layer shading glitch and can't figure it out.
My 3D objects regardless if it's on the actual layer or if the 3D object (ones made in anime studio w/ extrude/lathe etc) when I click on Shading in the layers tab it doesn't allow me to pick a color and just snaps to the defaults and sometimes unclicks the activate checkbox. This happens on frame 0 as well and I do not have layer effects animated turned on. Objects I made with the 3D tool with layer shading on it aren't effected and retain what I've set them to, but can't do anything else with the new ones ARGH.
Any clues?

Re: Layer Shading Glitch ASP 11
Here's a few rough ideas:
-One of your settings surpasses a number limit (for example, you cannot enter higher than 1024 in layer shading, 128 in many other settings) Also check for obvious Snafus (like the opacity exceeding 100) This can reset them to the highest value possible, worst case scinerio eset them to what you originally had. To avoid this, don't use ridiculous resolutions (< 4k x 4k px, for example) and make sure you learn the limits should you hit them.
-Your anime studio settings may be messed up, try uninstalling, (including the custom content section, just in case, move your files) and reinstalling it. It's not a know issue most of the time, but clean installs do help fix many issues with upgrading or mixed program settings.
-Try using "apply" instead of "ok", if your program changes the settings to something other than entered when you hit it, you will know as soon as it's pressed, consider it your testing mechanism for finding this kind of stuff. This will help if you plan to write up a bug report post, too.
-Use a new layer, your layer settings might be messed up for this layer, if you got a fill, try copying it to the new layer, if the problem still occurs, it may be the shapes causing the issue, worth a shot at least.
-Check the timeline's second tab, maybe you moved a channel to a different start time, which would mess a lot of timing up and cause you to be editing before the object even exists on frame zero. If this is the problem and the green play arrow isn't on frame zero when you drag it, your current layer isn't on the proper time for editing at frame 0. Also note the bar that you drag should stop at frame 1, which in the default way to tell, it's 1 frame ahead of the green arrow.
-Using scripts in the layers? Try it without them. Scripts are nice to add to layers but may also be forgotten and cause issues later on.
-It might be a known bug, worse case scenario is you might have to wait for an update to fix it, which has happened, but it could also just be a small error with your computer that you might not be aware of, if you aren't sure, look around for similar issues on a search engine or here, that's what I do.
Hope this helps some, or gives you some ideas that lead to resolution.

Thanks, I can't find the preferences file for ASP11 it's not in the Library, application support, smith micro, asp folder.
The other suggestions are N/A - already checked all of that argh. I'm thinking my file is corrupt.
