Possible Title Sequence element

Post by Little Yamori »

Just having fun with this idea, and am considering using it in my almost finished animation. No sound yet, as that's always the hard part for me. critiques welcome.

I'm glad to see your still on Gecko island! I think it's great! Do you have a Patreon site going, or getting funding from educator? I think you have a vehicle for kids to watch and maybe make it educational in things kids be interested in the world of nature. My mom was a Entymologist, and the kids love hanging with her, cause she could go to any backyard and pick out insect, and teach kids everything about that insect and how they defend themselves against reptiles and birds.

Brilliant. Now I want to know what sound does a gecko make? (or do you invent one?)

Thanks, Looks like I'm going to be on the Island hopefully for many years to come. Thanks for the Patreon tip, I had never heard of that before. I have on the site some fun "Gecko Facts" in PDF form, which is kinda clunky, and there's a lot of flash used, so iOS doesn't pick it up at all, so there's strike 2 against me, but when I have some more time I'm planning a major over hall of the site. It's meant for kids and kids at heart. That's so cool that your mom was an Entomologist, I always try to teach my kids about bugs (especially praying mantis) and lizards etc... On the site I have a Dr. Gecko who's a Gastro-Entomologist :-)

 (Nerd Alert) Geckos are the only reptile with a voice, different species actually chirp, click or grunt, but in my case I ended up having to invent one. BTW sorry didn't comment on your last thread, as it was a little out of my zone to remark on that specific style/topic

If you're referring to my "Creepy" thread, I did risk incurring strong opinions from forum members. I don't want to be known for creating controversy in this forum. One good sign is that I didn't get 'kicked to the curb'. I take that to mean the sense of community here is pretty solid. It means a lot to me to be part of it.
I root for the members of this forum to succeed and I would hope some of them root for me. I think some do and it keeps me from getting discouraged.

Hey, never get discouraged, I try to look at it this way, this forum is great because of the talent here and what they share, but also just simply because by seeing what people are doing, it shows the potential of the software (like in Song of the Sea), and that's empowering, because it says to all of us, this is what's possible with this software, so there's all this potential all right here on our computers.

So just keep at it, your electronic circuit animation was great, so don't get bummed, it all just takes time.....Heck, I'm a year late on finishing my work, there are times it seems daunting to finish, but day by day I inch closer.

Never give up

I guess we'll get to see what happens to "Nene" in the spring of 2015!
I have no excuse for not finishing the electronics video except to say that when I ran into a problem I couldn't solve right away I started tinkering with easier projects. I'll start again and try to finish it this time.

It's hard to be discourage if you think about that human are the only creature on Earth doing this, that we can make things up creatively from things that took electronic and science to put together. There is enough of us to supply the demand to be creative! That to me is astonishing that we are the few of the living on this planet to do that. Seems silly to be dissuaded by a few critic.

My cat thinks I am doing great!

ruscular3d, humans are special. animals cannot begin to conceive that people put a robot on Mars-which obeys our commands from millions of miles away. :D
My focus is on us as a community of animators. I heard a professional animator say, on YouTube, that animation may the best way to communicate 'concepts'. I agree with that view.
My discouragement comes from the challenges I face in communicating with animation. I'm working hard to find ways to be effective.

I think we're all in agreement here.

The one thing I'm so grateful to Anime Studio for is giving me a vehicle to make my creations come to life. I have all these stories that I would like to share, and this software literally gives me a way to take it from my mind and put it on a computer screen. It's utterly amazing.

Thanks to all involved, and this board, for the advice and info sharing.
