problem exporting to flash...

Post by victorialatham »

hi, can anyone help, of tell me what im doing wrong, i have a 20 sec animation, when i export my animation as a quicktime movie evrything works fine, whether its in PAL, NTSC, or web size. but when i choose export as flash (swf)-obviously i have made sure it is the correct size in project settings(web), it exports, then when i open it, it starts to play but then crashes, when i go to force quit, it says "macromedia flash (not responding)". how can i succesfully export to flash? can someone tell me? i am using a mac if this helps...

thanks vicky.

Variable line widths isn't a good idea, as it generates huge file sizes (especially non-optimized layer) which might possibly be leading to a crash.

You can always try going into "File" then "project" and ticking the "Add extra swf frame..." as it helps sometimes.

Or there's the painful option, which is probably best, especially if you want to optimize the file size. Export each layer individually and recompile them in flash, or some other sort of flash program and export from there again. Hopefully the file size will be smaller and bug free.
