I've often wondered where the name "Moho" came from. I just stumbled on this link and wondered if Mike may have been a closet bird fancier in the early days

He explained it a few years ago. If I remember correctly he saw the name in a book or something.

It's on the top 24 list of extinct animals being considered by genetic scientists for ressurection.
