Hi
I created a useful piece of Character movement in the Timeline, thinking I could the be saved it as an Action. The manuals and Help all seem to indicate that in order for something to be an Action, it must originate and be created as an Action. I didn't realize this, otherwise I would have created it as an Action to begin with. Is there any possible way to somehow (Cut and Paste or something) to get this animation into Actions, so it can become an Action? I'm not looking forward to re-doing it...
Thanks.

Yes You can...
Just create an action, make it active, a red arrow appears beside it, then select mainline in the action window, but make sure that the action is still active, then click the Insert Copy button in the action window, this will copy the timeline key-frames for the selected layer into the action!

Thank you very much, Gilles. It sounds like a fix and look forward to trying it out. Maybe I can return the favor by giving you a laugh. I do short comedy clips, 20 seconds or less, with no ads.
