Advice about layers imported in AS

Post by Steph53 »

Hello to all.

I am new to anime studio, but I am a drawer for a long time on various drawing/vector softs. :)

I wanted to know if there is a way to import a vector file (.ai or .eps), created in several layers (example : one for legs, one for arms, one for face,...), and to get it in AnimeStudio in several layers too ?

As I always get a "one layer file" in AS : the layers have been reduced in a only one layer. And a lot of work to do because of that fact...

is there another way to get various layers inside AS in final ?

You have to save all those layers in separate EPS files.
AS 9.5 MacPro Quadcore 3GHz 16GB OS 10.6.8 Quicktime 7.6.6
AS 11 MacPro 12core 3GHz 32GB OS 10.11 Quicktime 10.7.3

You could try the "RT- Break apart" script after importing the eps or AI file.
It's located in "Scripts/Layer Effects" (Anime Studio Pro only).

Most AI imports create closed single shapes. This script could help.
