I am using Anime Studio Debut on an iMac running OS X 10.8.5.
In the Keyframe context menu, I cannot get the items "Hold…" or "Interval" or "Select keys to right" to appear, no matter which key frames or how many of them are selected.
For example, according to page 207 of the Debut 9 user's manual, all I need to do is right click on a keyframe to see "the Select Keys to Right command in the context menu…" but no such command appears, even when there are dozens of keyframes to the right of the current one.
Also, for the "hold Duration" function, I can Alt drag a keyframe to set the duration & get the red box as I drag to the right. However, once I have done that I cannot drag or Alt drag the edge of the box back (to the left) to a time prior to the end of the hold duration originally set, nor can I find any way to reset the hold duration to zero.
Help!

Keyframe hold is not a Debut feature: http://anime.smithmicro.com/comparison.html
And I suspect the same is true of interval.
EDIT: Well, the 9.5 manual claims hold is available in Debut. Beats me.
Also, you can only alt drag the hold duration by clicking on the keyframe for that hold, not the end of the box.

Re: Keyframe context menu problems (ASD 9.5) Mac
Thanks for the reply. It appears that the Debut manual is half right about keyframe hold: in Debut users can alt drag the keyframe to create a hold & once created they can lengthen it by alt dragging the keyframe. (You were right about not being able to drag the edge.)
The problem with this is there is no way to get rid of or shorten the hold duration once created, because there is no way to access a hold duration dialog box because "Hold…" never appears in the keyframe context menu. If a hold is created by accident & isn't undone immediately, users can loose a lot of work trying to get rid of it.
Because of that, I assume someone dropped the ball & did not remove the code for the alt drag from Debut, or didn't think through the implications of leaving it in. I would prefer that the feature be disabled, so maybe I'll start looking in the package to see if that's possible. (There is a lot of unused Pro stuff in the Mac Debut application package like Pro icons, splash screens, etc. that can be removed without causing problems, but I don't know about code segments.)

Yeah, if you can't shorten the hold duration it sounds like an unintentional feature halfway left in Debut. There would be no way to disable that on your end.
