Reset Bones in a Switch Layer

Post by xian »

I have a bird character with wings in a switch layer. To get them to move properly, I have boned the wings for further expression between switches and then bound their switch layer to the body bone.

When animating, Moho will not allow the resetting of those bones via the Bones Menu. I have to go back, copy frame 0 and paste it to reset.

Am I missing something?

Thanks for any help
Can I get a blue spot?

For a human character, whose arms move around quite a bit, I found a way around the unresettable bones in a switch layer.

I made three arm positions in three vector layers. Those each go into their own bone layer and those bone layers are put into a switch layer.

It makes for a lot of nesting, but good control, because all of the bones affect only their vector children.

Yes this is a good method.
