hello guys,
i made a action where my character turns his head to the right. i was just wondering if i can somehow undo this action some frames later so the head turns again back to normal - somehow it should do the exactly reverse action.
can i undo a action after i used it?

Re: can i undo a action after i used it?
I imagine the easiest way to do this is to save a 'reset' action with the head in the other position - assuming you have several layers, the action you inserted will have put several keys down, and manually resetting them is a lot more effort than having a reset action, which can be specific to the face parts moved in the previous action, so nothing else is reset...

hm... thats a good idea but how do i make a reset action? i mean actually in the reset action are absolut no settings. i can create a action where the head is just in the normal front position but its in this position anyway and AS9 will also not react to it cause its like a empty action

create a new action, go to frame 1 and select the points you want reset. Then you should be able to double click the timeline (i think) to create a frame there, though i tend to just take the point move tool and hit control+right then control+left to move the points 1 pixel and back, creating a key for those points. After that the action will work

Re: can i undo a action after i used it?
but if i create a new action there are no points and keyframes in the timeline and if i doubleclick on the timeline nothing happens.
i now made a new action, "insert copy" from the headturn, copied the keyframe from zero and put it a few frames later on, then deleted the frame that lets the head turn.
guess thats probably what you said but i couldnt figure out how to create a keyframe on the timline when its empty and i havent made any change yet that causes a keyframe ^^,
but thx a lot, that helped me a lot

yeah, wasn't sure about the double click thing - but for sure, if you have the points you want keyd selected and just move them 1 pixel and back they will have keyframes
I think you got there in the end but went around more houses than necessary.
