"Bind Points" icon not active?
Hello, I was going to follow the last smart bones webinar but I noticed that I cannot bind points as done in the presentation because my bind points tool is grayed out (not active) but the others are active. Not sure what I have done wrong. I am working from frame zero as shown in webinar.

Maybe you accidentally binded the entire layer to a bone. If so, select the vector layer, go to the menu Bone>"Flexi-bind layer".

Yes, I binded each layer to their respective bones when I first rigged it. Was I not supposed to do that?

There are 3 ways to rig:
- Using bone strength
- Binding specific points to specific bones
- Binding entire layers to specific bones
You can combine them depending of the rigging you want, but if you bind a layer to a bone, the points of that layer can't be binded to another bone. The layer becomes rigid. It's useful when you want to simulate paper cut-out animation, for example. In that case, you don't want an image (or vector) be bended by several bones, just rotate following one bone.
If you are working with vectors and want soft bends for joints, you will have to work binding points or using bone strength.
