Bone Colour

Hope someone can help.....
I have a lot of characters I need to animate in a couple of scenes. Unfortunately these characters have a lot of parts which happen to be red, the same as the colour of the bones !
Therefore, once I go to my bones layers and start adding of trying to manipulate the bones, I cant see them !

Any help as to how I can get round this problem ? Can I change the colour of the bones, or make my shape transparent while i'm working on the bones ?
