Fantasy Animation Longer Clip

Post by bliss_infinite »

About a month ago I posted a link to the beginnings of my Swords & Sorcery fantasy animation. It wasn't much just a zoom on a scene but I was pretty excited to get that far. But I've got 53 seconds completed that I'd love to share and get feedback on. It has the first character animations as well as a rough mix of the soundtrack.

Anyway, here it is:

Nice work! I love all the textures, the stylized look, the narrator's voice, the music and ambient sounds. And perhaps most of all, the story manages to be intriguing even with only 53 seconds of setting up. I look forward to seeing more!

I love the textures you are using, Audio is clear and a lot more is going on for you.

One thing that kind of stood out to me is water line on the cliffs. The cliffs seem to float over the water.
Sorry for bad animation

Thanks for your comments!

Yeah, the 'floating ocean' thing is the largest point that has come up. I think I will end up changing it. I wasn't sure how to do it but I think I have an idea now.

Hey Bliss, looking good - the design is great, and the world/locations seem fleshed out... sound quality is great, which always adds loads of polish.
do you want constructive criticism?

Looks really good and great voice acting as well. Do you do comic art? I like the Jack Kirby pulsating flashes.

Yes, Funk, I'd love some constructive criticism. The first ocean shot seems to be the one that everyone has a problem with and I will be changing it. Any other things you see, let me know.

Yes, I use to do comic art, just small press stuff. Thanks for noticing the Kirby Krackle!
