I don't have the final commercial yet, but it's been on cable already for about a week. I was asked to make several changes, some we were asked to make after the deadline for airing, so it will even change from the version that's showing now on TV. One whole scene had to be cut altogether, but it wasn't the calendar, it was the walk in the park. I had to expand the calendar to represent a whole year passing. They finally consented to cut some of the texting because there just wasn't time for it.

After all the work I did to make the characters talk in the proposal scene, the client decided that he didn't want their lips "flapping like ducks", so I had to delete all of that. There would be no character voices, so he felt that to show their mouths moving was odd.

The animation then had to be edited for it make sense. I found that it's often difficult to edit animation once it's done. I'm not sure what was going on, but sometimes when I deleted keyframes, others would pop up mysteriously where there had been none before. I'm still not sure what caused this, only I know I used the "manipulate bones" tool to move arms around via IK chain. I eventually had to select each bone in each arm and delete all the keyframes and start from scratch. The first time I edited it, I ended up with some jerky movements. I kept trying to find out why an arm was moving when I couldn't see any keyframes. I didn't want to delete keyframes for other body parts. It was tricky.

Any helpful hints on that?
