Key ease in and ease out

Post by ash »

Hi Anime-studio friends.

1) Why is there an default ease in and ease out on keys?

I started animating a shot with two simple characters walking the same distance beside eachother in the same speed. With the first character I animated the Bone, the next character I animated the vectorpoints.

But it seems that the character animated with vectorpoints - has an ease in/ease out between two keys, so they don't follow eachother exactly.

Have any of you experience with this?

I hope you can give me a hint about what might have happened.

All the best

Default interpolation of all keys is set to "smooth". You can change the default in the preferences, and you can right-click any key to change it specifically.

Thanks for responding.
Actually I have steal the same problem. So it is not solved.

Problem is that I have two shapes wich I want to folow eachothers from point A. to point B. The feeling of the movement must be like it is one shape. One is animated in victorpoints and the other with bones. All keys are on smooth. So is it in preferenses. But it seems like the object which is animated with victor points eases out and in and not the other.

Sorry for writing this again. I just want to make it clear.

Best regards

Your problem might be that both movements don't follow the same path. If I animate stuff on straight lines, I can be sure that keys in identical frames with identical interpolation will move in an identical fashion. Any movement on a curved path is not so easy.

Why don't you put both elements inside the same bone layer and attach it to the same bone?
