i'm trying to put the pre-made smoke effect onto objects being affected by physics; but placing it behind them in the layer (as per users manual rocket tutorial 6.3) doesn't seem to work. am i missing something? or does it work differently with physics than it does with the path following?
Yes, physics work much different than follow path. You can use bones to bind the particle layer to the objects. Here's an example of what I mean. Right click on this link and choose the save link as option to save it as an anime file. In the example, I have 1 bone that has been layer bound to both the rocket and the particle layers so they follow each other.
so now my smoke trail spins around the object, because it's round and is hitting things. is there a way to have the particle layer ignore the rotation of the object and just follow behind it?
