Best audio results for recording character voices.
This is really just a question to all animators here on the forum. What is the best set up for recording voices for animation. What type of mic do you use, and what is the best way you've found to record sharp crisp voices! Any advice would be helpful!

I've written about it more than once:

I love the CAD U37 USB Studio Condenser Recording Microphone. It isn't too expensive, and is a really quality mic. Obviously, there's better out there, but this is a really good place to start. I like to use Acid to record and adjust my sound (Sony bought the program a while back), but Audacity is a good free program to try out.
Also, you'll want to grab a P Pop filter as well.

Thanks for the input!
Thanks for the input guys! I ended up going to bestbuy and getting a blue yeti condenser microphone. It works really really well for what I need and it was only $120.00 bucks so it didn't break me! And between garage band and audacity I can pretty much tweak and adjust any sound I need to with no extra cost! I'm no pro on mics but if anyone else looks at this thread this is a good way to go if you're on a shoestring budget and need do audio recording that's better than a webcam mic or stick mic! LOL! And regardless of if you have a mac or PC Audacity is a freeware program for audio editing that is really great and easy to use!
