I have been studying anime studio pro 8 and am getting used to working with the tools.
Rigging, masks, etc... I still have a lot of practice to do, but after 2 weeks of practicing, I feel confortable with these.
But, I still do not have a clear idea of how to use actions.
That is, I am not sure when to use them.]The first time I saw them, I thought they were supposed to be used for creating animations that could then be reused with other characters.
But, I think that is not really what they are for.
I think they are more like helpers for handling things like blinking, etc...
I would like to hear fro you guys what you use actions for, in the real world (in real animations, that is).

Actions can be used for many things, like cycling actions that You may need to re use over and over.
Yes they can be used for blinking and the such.
You can have several actions for a character and then put them on top of each other for re usability.
They can be used for blendmorph as well.
Plenty of uses for those!
