Unpected Close with New Layer

Every time I click on New Layer, Anime Pro 7 unexpectedly closes. I have re-booted several times, started with a new file, loaded an old file, you name it. I am at a loss about what to do. I thought of, but not actually taken any action on, uninstalling and re-installing Anime. any advice?

A reinstall wouldn't hurt.

Uninstall and reinstall didn't work. However, it led me to update to Version 7.1 which did solve the problem. Thanks.

That made me check my version which is 7.1.
