It's fascinating on frame 6...the drag on Ariel's hair while her face is already facing the other way. The pose looks wrong, yet plays fantastic at full speed. Glen Keane and his animation team are masters!

On the actual web site it is just images captured frame by frame. What selgin posted is the same images but the last one is an animated gif.
My avatar is probably the same frame rate as the gif selgin posted. Its smooth because the frames are about or faster then the eye can detect.
