Animated Short (Not Anime Studio)

I recently found an AmigaGuide document I created on the making of this short, made in 1997, and decided to include it on my blog with a link to the film on YouTube. Obviously it wasn't created in Anime Studio but I thought people may be interested in how we went about making the film and hearing about some of the mistakes we made along the way. Many!

The film was rushed and only a shadow of what it should have been. Here is the film....

It's great! The main sequence really has that Bill Plympton vibe. All the more amazing given the difficult circumstances in which this was made. Thanks for sharing this.

thats brill.. I loved my amiga1200...missus threw it out about 8 yrs ago.. <insert expletive>

The Amigas was the love of my professional life as this is where I started to do paying jobs in the 80s.

My Amiga 1000 actually had processors connectors made of real gold, that was one heck of a machine!

Thanks Neeters_Guy. I've resisted posting the film but when I found the AmigaGuide I decided it may be of interest.
I'm with you SvenFoster. I still miss the Amiga now. So fast when you think how slow the processor was by todays standards.
Yeah, GCarb, I had an affection for the Amiga I just don't have for Windows machines. 'Progress' I guess

This is neither here nor there, but recently I discovered the last Amiga version of TVPaint (3.6) was released as freeware. So on a lark, I purchased an Amiga emulator for Windows called Amiga Forever ($30 USD) and installed the program on one of the emulated versions. To my surprised it actually worked! Of course, this version of TVPaint doesn't have a timeline so it isn't useful for animation, but it was fun having the Amiga experience nonetheless.

The funniest thing though about the emulation is that it even made the clicky sounds of the floppy drive.

I have that emulator too. It's by Cloanto who had a great paint and animation package of their own called Personal Paint. Bringing back memories now
