White edges after rendering

Post by cucumihai »

I always have problems with this one and it's kind of a pain in the back.
Round edges appear around my character and it doesn't matter which resolution i use, they always appear.
Do you have any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks.

Have you checked if your fill has a white fill underneath, often happens with the auto-fill on.

To check this, use the select shape tool to select your fill then press delete on your keyboard and see if there is a white fill left on your shape.

If so, delete the white fill then apply a new one to your shape!

It wasn't a white fill, it was a brown one for some strage reason.
Thank you very much GCharb.

double fills cause this white at the edges regardless of their own colour - must be an overlapping antialiasing issue or something...

...don't tell me - you used the fill bucket?

I actually never used fill bucket, only select shape tool.
The problem was that behind the last color was another, now that doesn't need to be white to show the white border, in my case it was brown.
I also thought it has to do something with antialiasing but that wasn't the case.

I can count on one hand how many times I used the fill tool. Not that it is bad or good, I just never used it when I learned the software. I am a HUGE eye dropper fan though.
Sorry for bad animation

Yeah, it is only the anti aliasing outline that shows. I mentioned white because peoples usually fill in the defaul white then add another color on top.

Just a question: Could it be corrected by changing the blending mode?

I just did some tests and it didn't work.
I had to remove the color behind the last one.

Why not upload the file? I'm sure some of us would be willing to do some tests.

Ok, here is a sample http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZQ31EWH7
I just notice that if i make the shape big, the white border disappear but if i make it small it really shows up.
