Peoples usually use switch layers for lip-syncing, not actions!

are you using papagayo? if so, there's a script here for inserting actions from a dat file:
viewtopic.php?t=2424

near the bottom there's a linke with a huge 'HERE' - click that :)

The thread is somewhat confusing but when you run the script it will put the phenomes on the timeline... just name them the same as the papagayo names.

no, but it does what it needs to :)
I've not used it in ages either - but effectively you could use this script to put down any action named anything if you create a dat file with names that relate to actions in AS (did that make any sense? :P)

Oh yeah, i remember that script. I even did a few tests with it like Funk said with a simple DAT. file. Then I completely forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me Funk. :)
