Eve of October (Anime) is now out!

Post by neomarz1 »

Well, some of you may have followed my project "Eve of October"... Well It has been finally released to DVD! I dont want to get in trouble for spamming, so I guess I can't post a link. Just go to Amazon, and do a search under Movies/TV. Type in "Eve of October", with the quotes! You can also send be a message and I'll give you the link. I hope everyone enjoys the video. There will be another two videos to follow, and I am more than happy to share my knowlege with other animators out there. I truly appreciate all the help I have recieved here at Anime Studio Forums, and I could not have done it without your support.

If you havent heard of the project, go to these links. Go to my channel, and subscribe. That way you can follow my progress through the next two videos I plan to release.

Thanks! It feels good, but Wow! What a lot of work! Still need to produce the next one. Thanks again for the Kudos. I think anyone could do this, It takes a certain amount of mental illness I think. I only wish I had started this a lot sooner. I know a lot of people have done amazing stuff with Anime Studio, and this community is full of some of the best talent. I hope I can be just as talented as some of the posters here.

I just received mine! Very professional package. I've seen all of the clips before, but seeing it put together like this kicks it up to a whole new level.

The bonus material -- the interviews with the actors -- was interesting. Two of them could've used some video to accompany the audio. Maybe a slideshow of character sketches or something. Also, I would've loved to hear YOUR interview. Ah, well maybe on the next dvd.

Great job and congratulations again on achieving this major milestone. 8)

You know I was working on a little interview, but I just can't handle hearing my own voice. I still may do something, and just have to get over my insecurities. I thought about doing some video stuff with thier interviews, but it was turning out to be a production in itself. The fact is I need to have some energy for the next production. This one film really took a lot out of me. Yeah, I will probably do something more for the next one, and even considered doing a special edition... We will seen how I'm doing mentally at that point. I have had to learn more about the production side more than I cared to learn, but that's part of the game. Thanks for ordering that video... you probably have close to the first print :D

Yes, pretty much, and adobe photo shop. I just saw that the new anime studio scans drawing to vector. I wonder how well that works, because that would be the way to go. Anyone mess around with that yet?

it doesn't work well, too many points and loss of detail. better to avoid it.

I wondered about that, well maybe it would work well for segmented pieces (Hair, and cloth). I had a feeling about that... Having to many points, but can they be streamlined?

Using the simplify curves script helps a little, but still too many points. there are some adjustment sliders you can use, but it starts to lose detail. you can now check out AS8 for free w/o a credit card check this thread and see for yourself
