Using particle layers only in an action?

Post by GaldraxiaProductions »

Hello guys (I'm not new to Anime Studio, I just don't post a lot). I've been working on characters for quite some time and came across a question... Is there a way to make particles only show up in an action? For example... If one of my characters has a "sneeze" action (like a dragon), can I use the smoke effect ONLY in that action? I can't really figure out how to do it if it's possible. It just seems to use the particles in the main line and not where and when I want them. I can't really word this better... But tell me if you're confused about my question and I'll try to explain as best as I can.

you can do this with masking. create a mask then create an action that causes the mask to expand and contract to reveal the particle layer. if you need an example let me know what version you're using and i will make one

Oh! That's a great idea, thank you! Yeah, I know how to do masking, I just haven't done it in a while so it never really occurred to me! Thanks again.
