rendering, reboot

Post by rylleman »

Not sure if this is a bug or something else, I'll post it here anyway.

Moho has started to reboot the computer when rendering. I've spent some hours trying to figure out what's wrong, with no luck. Here's a list of what I've done and which conclusions I have drawn.

+It happen's both with QT rendering and avi rendering (is QT used for avi rendering as well?)
* It only happens with longer files, >300-350 frames, and I've only tested with pixel based animation files, got no vector animations (In 2K resolution so they are quite heavy).
* It seems like it's depending on the amount of data thats been rendered, when rendering the whole scene it reboots at ~30 percent, rendering just the BG it reboots at ~65% and rendering just the character it reboots at around 50% (different percentage for other, longer files, but about the same spread) If I render just one or two elements it renders the whole scene.
* I've tested several animation files with the same result, completely different source images and audio, so nothing wrong with the material or files themselves.
* Tested to downgrade from Moho 5.2.1 to 5.2, same result, nothing wrong there.
* Uninstalled QT 6.5.2 and installed QT 7beta, no change.
* Haven't installed any software or hardware recently that might cause this other than Janimatics Loop player and script but I uninstalled this and the problem is still there, cant see how this might interfere anyway.

I'm running Moho local at a AMD2500+, winXP sp.2.

Fixed it, but I still don't know what went wrong, but I'm sure it was no fault of Mohos anyway.
Reinstalled a lot of audio/video software and completely uninstalled a lot more. Did a system recovery and cleaned up a lot in the registy and stuff and now it works...
