Crazy Love - Animated Music Video

Post by Spabsounds »

Greetings All,

I have just created my second animation. Its a music video of a self penned song. There's a Hi-Res version that you can view by selecting 720 pixels.

Anyone care to comment?

The animation does use a few pre-built characters from Cartoon Solutions and also a modified Liz Character from Smith Micro (so I cheated a bit) - But I've modified them to fit the style. Plus the main characters are a composite plus my own work. I simply don't have the artistic skills to create fully convincing characters from scratch. Hope you forgive me for that.

Hello Spabsounds and welcome to the forum!

It is quite OK to use the content included in AS, that's what it's there for now isn't it. I cheat all the time! :)

Pretty good for a second movie and I am sure you will come up with your own characters in no time!

Thanks Gilles, Wasn't sure what the protocol was. I figured the only way to learn was to pull apart the pre-built characters and re-build to suit my needs.

Hey that's a great 2nd animation.

The changes of scenes are good and the music is cool and not too loud :)

I live in Melbourne also. Small world eh :)

Best wishes and keep up the great work.

Seeya,

Paul.

Thanks Paul, I'm pleased that you think the music's OK, and not too loud. Given that I did some pretty hairy compression and boosting of the final mix - I did fear that I might overdo it. Cheers.

I really like it, song and vid.

Sure the animation has a few issues but it didnt distract me.

EXTRA points for animating that length of time... there is a massive difference between doing 5-15secs vs a couple of minutes in my opinion.

very varied and no repetition... top of the class ;)
