Best way to learn to draw in AS is to get images you like from the web, use them as trace images then trace them!

Also, you can take one of the characters from the content library and look at how it is constructed. It will give you an idea on how you should make the different parts.

You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

yes .. that's right .. especially , model sheets .. trace it ( draw above it )
then you can modify parts to match your concept .. even create impressive actions from the model poses . . works for me
ps. ( about your file ) .. i got it if you don't mind ..try to draw your character's hair simple a bit .. i think
thnks
Decent people still here .. keep dreaming .

Take some art classes and learn to actually DRAW. It's a BASIC animation skill. AS won't teach you to draw, it's just a tool. Drawing comes from you. If you take the time and effort to learn the basic skill it will reward you endlessly. If you want to try to teach yourself drawing skills, get the book "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain," by Betty Edwards. A great resource. Once you develop your drawing skills you can do anything.

A good book by a great artist is this one.

Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain Website

I actually learned I had a brain with it! :)

She also has a video somewhere on the site.

If not, there are plenty of sites dedicated to drawing, dragoart comes to mind, it is a bit childish but the author is a young artist by the name of Dawn, you can find tutorials on how to draw pretty much any styles there.

If you are looking at tutorials on how to use Anime Studio tools, just read the manual, the basics are there.

Get yourself pencil and paper and start RIGHT NOW. Go out. Draw everything you see: people, animals, things. No matter how crappy your first drawings will be - keep them and in a year compare them to what you'll be able to draw then.
