Every .anme file on both my hard drives just dissappeared

Weird.

It's not like I uninstalled AS7 and of course I didn't "consciously" delete anything. The weird thing is it was on both my C: and D: HDD that every .anme file just poof!

Has this happened to anyone else?

luckily I had just about everything backed up on my external and on a DVD

but it was so weird.... Cool thing is I gained about 7GBs

I cant imagine any uninstaller would ever delete all files associated with it! however, maybe if the file extension now has no target application (so it doesn't know what type of file it is) and you dont have 'show hidden files' selected in windows (in windows - tools/options/view/hidden files and folders: Show hidden files and folders) it would appear that the files are gone, but they are probably just hidden...

nope! they were clean gone.

when I went to use the backup it didn't prompt if I wanted to over write so they were completely wiped out.

I thought a virus- but nothing else was broken or missing. Then maybe I thought a hacker but- who would hack .anme files????

Seriously though, maybe a registry thing, if you use Winblows!
