Newbie question: actions and timeline
I'm doing a head turn, using the actions. All parts of the face (vector layers) are inside a group layer. I wonder why when I put the actions in the timeline with "insert reference" and the group layere selected, no dot appears for marking position. I can see it only if I select each sub vector layer at a time. But if I need to play with dots to improve the animation on timeline there is a quicker way?

No, you will only see the keyframes for the current layer. If you need to retime stuff you can move keyframes on all layers with Rudiger's excellent Nudge keys script

if you want a visual reference point on the parent layer though, just add a key (that does nothing) to it when creating your action... like nudge it 1px and then back... then when using the action you will get a 'reference' dot on the parent layer (although you won't know WHAT action you used, it's a little help)
One thing I though of doing is adding action names as non rendering labels so that when an action is active you get the action name visible.
