Is it wrong to borrow....

Is it wrong or not legal to take an animatic story board someone posted on youtube and animate too it for practice? As long as your not selling the result or whatever. or do you need approval by someone to do that?

It is totally OK to do it. The problem starts when you publish it.

Sometimes I will animate a comic I like. Always ask first. Some will say yes, others will say No.

Yes always ask 1st. But if you are just doing it for practice its is totally OK. I was just saying that if you publish your animation is when the trouble starts.
