Recording bone motion automatically?

Post by digitalartguru »

Hello folks,

It would be nice to be able to grab a bone with the "manipulate bone" tool in AS, click a "record" type of button, and have AS record all my bone movements ( adding keyframes ) on the screen until I hit a stop button. Is there a way to do this?

If you press play and then move the bone (or anything else for that matter) that is exactly what happens. You'll get a lot of keyframes though.

Thanks, I'll try it out.

I was able to do that even in v5. Just set the project fps to a really low value, like 4. Note that any touch of a bone will create a new key, so you will probably end up with some very jerky movement, but anyway, it could be worth a try.
