help with the bone tool!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok i just bought anime studio 7 of the internet so far i love it but i have on problem. when i try to put bones on my character i made i use photoshop to color in and sketch my character then import it to anime studio 7 but my problem is that when i try to animate with the bone tool it moves everything not just my drawing but the whole page as if it was all connected. is there a way i can delete anything outside my drawing so i can just animate my drawing i would really appreciate the help?

In Photoshop make sure your image has an alpha channel (transparent background)
Delete the background... you’ll see the chequerboard... then save as PNG or PSD...
Import those prepared images into Anime Studio and apply the bones...
