Copy color to gradient window in Debut 6

Post by KPS »

I have an existing background layer that I wish to apply the gradient option to. How do I get the existing background color to show in the gradient pop up window? It seems I am forced to click on the white color window in the pop up which brings up the color selection window. It is difficult to choose an exact match to the existing background color. The other effect choices allow the background layer color to be copied. Is Gradient different?

The easiest way is to copy and paste the color value from the background to the gradient. Call up the color selector for the BG and right click on the bottom value, the one under the alpha value, and choose copy. Now call up the gradient color selector, and right click again on the bottom value and choose paste. It is alittle different from the others in that the gradient can have as many different colors as you want by clicking inbetween the 2 colors to add more.

Thanks for the help. I don't think I would have figured it out on my own.
