OBJ. image disappear when bones manipulation...

Post by tehri »

Hello... and i hope you'll help me because at that point i become really mad !! : (
I'm quite sure it's a simple solution but i can't find out ! I use ASP 7 since now some months, and mix with AE it gives me all satisfaction whenever in 2D or 2D mixed with 3D !! wonderful program !!

So my problem is this one :

A/ it happens that i import OBJ. files as i do usually...

B/ I create of course Bone Layer, as usual... and i apply bones...

C/ But as soon as i want to manipulate the bones...OBJ. desappear from main window, and i see only bones !!!!!

Something i must do ? really i don't understand !!... and it makes me really crazy !!!!!!

Thank's for your light !!! :)

you could try the display quality setting button on the lower right of the workspace. check off all the options till the object stays visable when you move bones.

Thank's for your help, my friend, but i already checked these settings before, and it's not !
I thought i checked everything until i posted here to really face that so stupid problem !!!... and i find out just 20mn ago !!!!!
And it's totally stupid... and i'm totally stupid !!!!! so stupid !!!

i explain in case someone meet that problem once...
For 3D, i use different software as for exemple, Hexagon, Mudbox, 3D Coat, etc... each time i import an OBJ. from these software inside AS Pro7, it's never problem... but i'm testing a new 3D software named Easy Toy, a very fast and easy one for modelling... of course less powerful in term of complex modelling then Hexagon or others, but very impressive in term of easy creation... just like on a paper with a pencil, you just draw and that's it, you get 3D, etc... for some projects i'm on, it's really cool !
And the problem was coming only with OBJ files from there !!!... and i didn't thought in the good direction !!
This program generate huge model size !!!!
For exemple, that star is originally : Height : 27cm and Widht : 29 cm !!!!!!

I just discover this when opening in Hexagon... the 3D grid box was so small beside that star !!! ahahahaha !!! i reduced to a normal objet size, Height : 3 cm, Widht : 4 cm... And everything works fine now with bones in ASP !!!

Ouuuffffff !!!! i'm very happy, i was just becoming crazy !! i knew it was something really stupid but never thougt about size because OBJ was not heavy in term of Ko, never more than 3 or 400 !!

Anyway i had to post here to find out by myself... it gived me energy !! so thank's a lot !!!! lol... i read a lot here since i got ASP, and i really learned a lot because of the knowledge base and all your work !!

Thank's again !!! :D

 I know how you feel, I've had some strange results too with different 3-d softwares that just drove me crazy. I currently use ZBRUSH for mesh creation and POSER for rigging and morphs prior to importing into AS7 and I get the results I want. Glad you figured it out. :)
