I'm sure there is something I'm missing.

Wondering how to accomplish a certain animation task? Ask here.

I'm fairly new to this software, and I have run into a hiccup.

So, I'm just trying to a simple animation with two characters. In a seperate project I had created character 1 and have done everything with the mouth to do the auto-lipsync.

My question is, to save myself the work of redoing it, I want to use the mouth from character for character 2. I figured I could just hilight the layer, duplicate and drag it into the other characters bone layer. But I can't get it to show up.

So, I guess my question is: How do you I use a switch a layer associated with one character for another one? Is it possible to copy the mouth all the syllable settings?

it sounds like you are on the right track. if you duplicated the switch layer, all its' child layers should have been copied with it. do you have it placed in the right place on the second character (i.e. the mouth layer on top of the head layer not under it) ? are you using any masking that might be hiding it. if you can't figure it out, you can upload the file to a file sharing site like mediafire, and i'll take a look at it. :)

- go frame 0
- duplicate layer
- drag into new folder
- correct stack position and binding
