Please Help, Issues with Switch Layer Duplicate

Post by philjherman »

Hi Everyone,
First off thanks for any replies. I am creating a character and have run into an issue I do not understand.

What is happening is I created a head at a slight angle, with switch layers for eyes, eyebrows, mouth etc. I took the whole layer and duplicated it, and flipped it horizontally so I could use it as a switch for a head turn (i will be added other heads) the problem is that then when I click into the lower levels of my "head" layer things start to disappear. One of the two heads will be fine, but either the flipped head or the unflipped head will disappear, but only when I click on the lower head levels such as the eyes, the head shape or any of that. If I click back onto the high level layer for the head switch, everything appears.

Is this a behavior or a bug? If anyone can help please let me know I find this very hard to understand. Thanks!

I don't know about your bug, but: you don't need to duplicate a layer to make a full head turn. Just create a switch key during the course of your animation when needed.
